Paris Saint-Germain continues to see promising young talents leave the club. This time, it is 18-year-old striker Pierre Mounguengue who is moving on. Considered one of the academy’s brightest prospects, he will not sign his first professional contract with the French champions.
Mounguengue has decided to take a different path to launch his career. Instead of remaining in Paris, the young forward has chosen to join Dynamo Kyiv, with the Ukrainian club successfully convincing him to become part of its long-term project.
Dynamo Kyiv Wins the Race for PSG Prospect
As he reached the final stages of his academy development, Mounguengue had the opportunity to stay at PSG, but negotiations over a professional deal ultimately failed. Dynamo Kyiv took advantage of the situation and secured the signature of the talented French striker.
His departure is part of a broader trend involving several PSG academy graduates. The club continues to be selective about which youngsters receive professional contracts, while many of its promising “Titis” are choosing to pursue opportunities abroad in search of regular first-team football. In a farewell message on social media, Mounguengue wrote: “After five years at Paris Saint-Germain, the time has come for me to say goodbye. I want to thank every coach and educator I worked with, my teammates, and of course the supporters. I experienced unforgettable moments here, and it was an honor to wear these colors. Thank you for everything.”
