Laciné Megnan-Pavé continues to turn heads and attract attention. Targeted notably by Paris Saint-Germain, the young Montpellier striker has already made club history at just 16 years old.
Megnan-Pavé certainly knows how to make an impression. After scoring in Montpellier’s 1-1 draw against Dijon on Saturday in the opening round of Ligue 2, he became the youngest goalscorer in MHSC history at the age of 16 years and 154 days.
A record at the perfect time for Megnan-Pavé
The goal had initially been credited to Yaël Mouanga, but the LFP corrected the mistake on Tuesday and officially awarded it to the young Montpellier forward. The record comes at an ideal time, with Megnan-Pavé’s name increasingly being mentioned on the transfer market and several major European clubs, including PSG, closely monitoring his progress.
