The future of the Parc des Princes has reached another key stage. According to Le Parisien, a steering committee is meeting at Paris City Hall on Thursday, June 25, to discuss the expansion of the iconic stadium, in what is being described as a major milestone in the ongoing negotiations.
This Thursday could prove decisive for the sale of the Parc des Princes. While PSG continues to evaluate several options for its long-term stadium plans, the possibility of purchasing its historic home has once again become the leading scenario. The meeting is seen as the first official step toward a potential sale.
PSG Pushes for Ownership of the Parc des Princes
Locked in a dispute with the City of Paris for several years over ownership of the stadium, PSG has consistently made it clear that it wants to become the owner in order to launch a large-scale modernization and expansion project. In recent weeks, the city’s new mayor, Emmanuel Grégoire, has publicly expressed his support for selling the stadium.
The latest meeting could finally unlock a process that has been stalled for months, making the coming weeks crucial for the future of the club’s legendary home. However, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi will not attend the discussions. According to Le Parisien, he is expected to step in only at the very end of the process, when the time comes to choose between the three final proposals that will be presented to him.
