PSG finally land Ferran Torres

Torres arrives in Paris after an outstanding summer in which he became a world champion with Spain. The forward notably scored the decisive goal in the World Cup final victory over Argentina. His versatility was another major attraction for PSG, as he can operate centrally or on either wing.

Paris had been working on the deal for several weeks. Torres reportedly reached an agreement over a five-year contract with PSG on August 8 and informed Barcelona of his desire to make the move. Negotiations between the clubs then continued before a final agreement was reached around August 13.

The transfer has now been officially completed. Torres adds experience, versatility and another high-level attacking option to Luis Enrique’s squad as PSG continue to reshape their forward line following several departures this summer.
