Paris Saint-Germain have not abandoned the Ferran Torres track, but discussions are still not truly progressing. The deal even appears to be at a standstill.
Ferran Torres is waiting to learn more about his future. The situation remains almost identical to recent days despite the mutual interest between the player and the Parisian club.
Negotiations stalled despite mutual interest between PSG and Torres
The Spanish forward has reportedly already spoken with PSG officials about a potential transfer. These talks have helped outline the main terms of his future contract. Paris are said to be offering him a five-year deal, along with a slight salary increase compared to what he currently earns at FC Barcelona.
Ferran Torres is said to be very interested in the Paris project and would genuinely like to join PSG, according to PSGINSIDE-ACTUS. However, the former Manchester City player does not want to force his departure or enter into a standoff with Barcelona’s management.
This stance significantly complicates the situation. Barcelona do not seem willing to facilitate his transfer, especially at the request of their coach, who wants to keep the Spanish international. The Catalan club would only consider a sale if the financial terms are particularly attractive, while a contract extension also remains on the table. As a result, Torres finds himself torn between his interest in Paris and his desire to leave Barcelona on good terms, with time now starting to work against PSG.
