Viktor Gyökeres, the 25-year-old Swedish forward currently playing for Sporting Portugal and under contract until 2028, is on PSG’s radar, but a deal is far from being sealed.

According to A Bola, Viktor Gyökeres remains distant from PSG. The trend seems to lean towards him extending his contract with his current club, Sporting Portugal. However, Gyökeres is also being courted by a Premier League club, intensifying the competition for his recruitment.

The player is currently in high demand and might consider leaving Sporting Portugal this summer, especially if his coach, Ruben Amorim, who is heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, departs.

While PSG is among the suitors, according to English press reports, it will have to contend with Arsenal, which has recently emerged as a contender to sign the Swedish striker.

Gyökeres is contracted with Sporting until June 2028 and has a release clause set at €100 million.

According to the X PSG Inside Actus account, PSG hopes to negotiate a discount on the player’s price. “The aim of the Parisian club is to pay below the release clause or to negotiate staggered payments. Luis Campos appreciates the player, and good relations between the two clubs could favor an agreement,” reports this source.
