PSG now know the referee for their trip to Metz. This Saturday, for the 16th round of Ligue 1, Romain Lissorgue (34) will take charge at Stade Saint-Symphorien (7 p.m., Ligue1+).
A relatively “young” referee for PSG, Romain Lissorgue is still in a phase of steady progression, with only 48 matches officiated in Ligue 1 so far.
A referee known for strict discipline
He will be assisted by Youssef El Hamzaoui and Yannick Boutry, with Eddy Rosier acting as the fourth official, while VAR duties will be handled by Cédric Dos Santos and Alexandre Castro.
Statistically, Lissorgue hands out slightly more yellow cards than average (3.76 per match compared to 3.53). He is also harsher with direct red cards (0.21 per match) and second yellows (0.136), both above Ligue 1 standards.
When it comes to penalties, he also awards more than average, with 0.44 per game. A strict referee overall, and PSG players have been warned.
