Karim Benzema is clearly impressed by the current version of Paris Saint-Germain. During an Instagram live session with rapper Rohff, the striker openly expressed his admiration for the Parisian club’s level and its development under Luis Enrique.
Now playing for Al Hilal, Benzema did not hesitate to praise PSG, despite his long-standing rivalry with the club during his time at Olympique Lyonnais. His perspective highlights just how much the Parisian side has evolved in recent years.
A Well-Built Squad and Impressive Depth
Benzema particularly emphasized the strength of PSG’s bench, which he sees as a major asset: “At PSG, the players coming on often bring even more. And yet, they’re supposed to be substitutes.” This observation underlines both the squad depth and the commitment of every player.
According to him, success comes down to clearly defined roles and a strong team mentality. Every player, whether a starter or a substitute, understands and fully accepts their mission. “The starter knows what to do, the substitute too. No one complains,” he explained.
Drawing a comparison with Real Madrid, where he enjoyed great success, Benzema pointed out a key difference in collective play. In his view, the current PSG operates as a perfectly structured team, built on effort, pressing, and solidarity—far beyond individual talent. He summed it up with a powerful statement: “The most famous figure at PSG is Luis Enrique. But above all, it’s a real team.”
