Paris Saint-Germain are already accelerating their summer transfer plans. According to PSGInside-Actus, the club has submitted an initial concrete offer for Club Brugge defender Joël Ordóñez in recent days as Luis Campos looks to quickly secure one of his priority targets.
At just 22 years old, the Ecuadorian centre-back has impressed across Europe with his physical strength, defensive maturity, and ability to play out from the back. Those qualities perfectly match the profile PSG are searching for as they aim to strengthen their defense with a young player who still has huge potential.
PSG Face Premier League Competition
According to the same source, Paris have offered the player a five-year contract with a salary estimated at around €250,000 gross per month including bonuses. As for the transfer fee, the operation could reach nearly €42 million.
However, PSG will need to move quickly. Several English clubs are also closely monitoring Joël Ordóñez, and growing interest could rapidly drive up the price for the Ecuadorian defender in the coming weeks.
On Club Brugge’s side, a summer departure now appears increasingly likely. The Belgian club know it will be difficult to keep hold of their rising star but hope to benefit from the growing interest by securing a major transfer fee. PSG now want to advance rapidly on several transfer targets to prepare next season as early as possible, and Joël Ordóñez has emerged as one of the top defensive priorities of the Parisian summer window.
