Sale of the Parc des Princes to PSG: Paris Mayor Laughs Off €300M Rumors

Emmanuel Grégoire has once again brought the Parc des Princes issue back to the center of the debate. Speaking on the 100% PSG Le Mag podcast, the Paris mayor discussed the future of the stadium and of Paris Saint-Germain amid ongoing tensions surrounding a potential sale.

Emmanuel Grégoire repeated that the Parc des Princes must remain PSG’s home. For the Paris official, the idea of PSG leaving the stadium is simply unthinkable. “Letting Paris Saint-Germain leave the Parc des Princes would be a political, sporting, and historic mistake,” he insisted, while also reminding that any negotiations involving public property are strictly regulated under French law.

Grégoire Rejects Parc des Princes Valuation Rumors

Emmanuel Grégoire also stressed the role played by state authorities and public valuation services in determining a price considered fair and legally compliant. Without revealing any figures, the mayor refused to fuel speculation surrounding a possible sale price.

“The only real question is whether PSG is willing to match what the competent authorities consider the proper value for the Parc des Princes,” he explained, highlighting the complexity of the case and the many criteria involved in assessing the stadium’s worth.

Grégoire also firmly dismissed recent estimates mentioning figures of €200 million or €300 million. “These numbers are pure fantasy. I regret when figures are thrown around like that,” he said, denouncing what he called “corridor gossip” with no official basis. According to him, no formal written offer matching those amounts has been submitted so far. Behind this carefully controlled communication, Paris City Hall is mainly trying to regain control of a highly political issue while making it clear that keeping PSG at the Parc des Princes remains the priority.
