Didier Deschamps could make several changes for France’s final group-stage match of the 2026 World Cup against Norway on Friday evening. With qualification for the Round of 32 already secured, Les Bleus may give valuable playing time to several players who have featured less since the start of the tournament.
According to Le Parisien, Désiré Doué is expected to be included in the starting lineup. It would be a major opportunity for the young PSG attacking midfielder, who could finally get the chance to make his mark on this World Cup campaign.
Doué Ready for a Starting Role
In the probable lineup revealed by the French newspaper, Kylian Mbappé would lead the attack, supported by Bradley Barcola, Rayan Cherki, and Désiré Doué. On paper, the quartet offers plenty of creativity, technical quality, and attacking flair.
In midfield, Manu Koné is expected to partner N’Golo Kanté, while the defense should feature Lucas Digne (or Theo Hernandez), William Saliba, Dayot Upamecano, and Malo Gusto in front of goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
