Akliouche to PSG, €15m Still Missing!

Paris Saint-Germain are making their move for Maghnes Akliouche. After several weeks of rumours, the capital club has reportedly decided to step up its pursuit of the AS Monaco attacking midfielder. And a first offer has already been submitted.

The gap is not huge in football terms, but no deal has been reached yet! According to L’Équipe, PSG have sent an offer estimated at €35 million to sign 24-year-old France international Maghnes Akliouche. He is a profile highly appreciated in Paris, especially for his versatility, creativity and knowledge of Ligue 1. Above all by a certain Luis Enrique.

Monaco Are Holding Out for Around €50m

But from AS Monaco’s side, this first offer is not enough. According to Le Parisien, the Principality club would rather expect around €50 million to agree to let Maghnes Akliouche leave, with the player under contract until June 2028.

The gap would therefore be around €15 million between PSG’s offer and Monaco’s demands. A significant difference, but not necessarily impossible to overcome at this stage of the transfer window. Through negotiations, common ground could still be found.

PSG see Akliouche as a serious target to strengthen their attacking sector, with Kang-in Lee’s move to Atlético Madrid expected. Paris want to anticipate and add a technical player capable of operating between the lines. The case is now open, and it remains to be seen whether PSG will move closer to Monaco’s demands or whether ASM will remain firm on their price. One thing is certain: Akliouche has clearly become one of Paris’ summer priorities.
