Marquinhos’ future is unlikely to be in Saudi Arabia. Approached several times in recent seasons by Saudi Pro League clubs, the Paris Saint-Germain captain has always chosen to continue his adventure in the French capital.
According to L’Équipe, the Brazilian defender’s representatives have considered the various offers coming from Saudi Arabia. Talks have sometimes been serious, but Marquinhos has consistently ended up ruling out the idea of a move.
Qatar Rather Than Saudi Arabia for Marquinhos
At 32, the Brazil international reportedly no longer really considers the Saudi league a possible destination for the next stage of his career. Another Gulf country, however, could appeal to him more.
According to the French sports daily, Marquinhos would be more attracted by the prospect of joining Qatar if he were ever to leave PSG to finish his career in the region. For now, however, no departure appears imminent, with Marquinhos remaining a major figure in the Paris dressing room and an important part of the club’s project.
