Could PSG be moving to Aulnay-sous-Bois? According to Le Parisien, the northern Parisian suburb is the frontrunner to host the club’s new home—and has already revealed a concept design.
A New Era Beyond the Parc des Princes? With Paris’ city hall refusing to sell the Parc des Princes, PSG is actively exploring alternative locations for a brand-new stadium outside the capital. The latest frontrunner? Aulnay-sous-Bois.
The first visual concept unveiled showcases a futuristic stadium design, surrounded by green spaces and a vast esplanade, strategically placed between Parc Robert-Ballanger and the A1 highway.
What’s the Capacity?
The biggest question remains: how big will it be? The Parc des Princes currently holds 48,000 spectators, but PSG has ambitions to rival Europe’s elite with a minimum of 60,000 seats. Given the opportunity to build a completely new stadium, some speculate the club could push for a 100,000-seat arena, similar to Manchester United’s future project.
No Official Club Visit Yet
Despite Aulnay’s aggressive push, no PSG delegation has yet visited the site. According to Alexandre Arlot, a journalist following the project, PSG officials have already checked Ris-Orangis and Massy, but not Aulnay.
Still, Aulnay’s mayor, Bruno Beschizza, remains optimistic and has already reached out to Nasser Al-Khelaïfi while launching a feasibility study. “I am trying to make the bid as objective as possible. This is a technical, not political, candidacy—with serious advantages. We have nothing to lose”, says Bruno Beschizza, Mayor of Aulnay-sous-Bois.
