No Time to Sleep : PSG’s French Stars Head Straight to World Cup Prep

Hardly have the Champions League celebrations ended before PSG’s players must switch their focus back to international duty. The five Paris Saint-Germain players selected by Didier Deschamps will report to the French national team camp at Clairefontaine on Tuesday morning.

Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola, Lucas Hernandez, and Warren Zaïre-Emery will have very little time to recover. Just one day of rest separates them from a return to action, only hours after the festivities held in Paris to celebrate PSG’s second consecutive European title.

France Squad Reunites at Clairefontaine

They will be joined by William Saliba, who ended up on the losing side with Arsenal in Saturday night’s Champions League final in Budapest. With their arrival, Didier Deschamps will finally have his full squad available as preparations begin for France’s upcoming international fixtures.

French President Emmanuel Macron is also expected to visit Clairefontaine on Tuesday at lunchtime to meet the players. The visit serves as another reminder that for PSG’s newly crowned European champions, the summer break will have to wait a little longer.
