On the eve of the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Stade Brestois 29 at the Parc des Princes, the Parisian club released its official medical update following Saturday’s training session.
Bad news for Luis Enrique: several key players will either be unavailable or remain major doubts for this Ligue 1 encounter.
PSG Injury Concerns Before Arsenal Final
PSG notably confirmed that both Willian Pacho and Nuno Mendes are dealing with right thigh injuries. The two defenders will remain under medical care over the coming days in order to avoid any aggravation ahead of the Champions League final.
Meanwhile, Warren Zaïre-Emery is suffering from lower back pain, with a lumbar issue officially confirmed by the Paris medical staff. The midfielder will also stay at rest and continue his recovery program.
Pacho, Mendes, Zaïre-Emery… the heroes from Munich have clearly paid a physical price. Quentin Ndjantou, Achraf Hakimi and Lucas Chevalier are also continuing their rehabilitation protocols. With such a long injury list, Luis Enrique is expected to heavily rotate his squad against Brest in order to protect his players before the Champions League final against Arsenal on May 30 in Budapest.
