Just hours before the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Stade Brestois 29 at the Parc des Princes, French newspapers Le Parisien and L’Équipe have predicted two very similar starting lineups for Luis Enrique… with a few notable differences.
The PSG side expected to start this Sunday night should mainly feature backup players. Both media outlets agree that Luis Enrique will heavily rotate his squad ahead of the Champions League final against Arsenal. The defense is expected to be almost identical in both predictions, with Hernandez, Beraldo, Zabarnyi and Mayulu lined up in front of the Parisian goalkeeper.
Major Changes Expected Before Arsenal Final
In midfield, Vitinha and Lee Kang-in are expected to start in both lineups. However, Le Parisien predicts young Dro alongside the Portuguese midfielder, while L’Équipe believes Fabian Ruiz will be included from the start.
The biggest differences are in attack. Both newspapers expect Barcola and Ramos to start, but Le Parisien places Désiré Doué in the front three, while L’Équipe gives Mbaye the nod in the attacking lineup. There is also uncertainty in goal. Le Parisien expects Marin to start, whereas L’Équipe predicts Matvey Safonov despite his recent calf discomfort.
Le Parisien (4-3-3): Barcola – Ramos – Doué / Dro – Vitinha – Lee / Hernandez – Beraldo – Zabarnyi – Mayulu / Marin. L’Équipe (4-3-3): Barcola – Ramos – Mbaye / Ruiz – Vitinha – Lee / Hernandez – Beraldo – Zabarnyi – Mayulu / Safonov.
