Paris Saint-Germain are finally accelerating their attacking recruitment drive. Luis Campos wants to move quickly to provide Luis Enrique with new options, as the PSG coach is still waiting for several reinforcements in the final third. In particular, he wants a player capable of operating as a false nine.
PSG’s desire to strengthen every attacking position is becoming increasingly clear. With that in mind, Ferran Torres has emerged as the club’s top priority. Luis Enrique is a major admirer of the Spaniard’s profile, while his versatility would allow him to play centrally or out wide.
PSG Intensify Talks for Ferran Torres
Luis Campos has now decided to take the next step and is increasing contacts in an attempt to convince the Barcelona forward. PSG have reportedly sent the player a very clear message: they are prepared to offer him a five-year contract and a higher salary than the one he currently earns in Catalonia. Paris would also be willing to respond to any potential contract-extension offer from Barcelona.

The move had slowed slightly in recent days while PSG focused on signing several wingers and completing departures. Agreements in principle have reportedly been reached with Mika Godts and Maghnes Akliouche, although Paris must still negotiate with their respective clubs. Randal Kolo Muani’s permanent move to Juventus is also considered important, and once that deal is completed, Campos is expected to concentrate fully on Torres.
Barcelona could still attempt to extend the Spaniard’s contract, but an offer may not arrive before the end of the transfer window. That timeline has reportedly unsettled Torres and his representatives, as the player does not want to wait too long for clarity over his future. PSG hope to take advantage by offering him a defined role, a long-term contract and the chance to become the false nine Luis Enrique is looking for.
