According to Foot Mercato, the 26-year-old has already informed those close to him and reportedly told several Barcelona teammates that he wants to sign for PSG. His clear preference could now help accelerate negotiations.

Barcelona had not planned to sell Torres this summer and expected him to remain part of the squad. However, Fabrizio Romano reports that an official transfer request from the player could open the door to talks. Discussions between PSG and Barcelona are expected next week to establish the Catalan club’s financial demands.
The former Manchester City player already knows the main details of the Parisian project. His versatility, allowing him to play out wide or centrally, appeals to PSG. Paris must now turn the mutual interest into an agreement, but Torres has already chosen his preferred destination.
