Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the president of PSG, reacted to the defeat in the Champions League semi-final.

So close at the feet, yet so far in the minds. PSG wasn’t there on Tuesday night to reach the Champions League final. The Germans from Dortmund were efficient. But Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the president of PSG, doesn’t blame his players.

“We are very disappointed, saddened by the result. I think we deserved better. In total, we hit the post four times tonight (Tuesday) and twice last week, the ball just wouldn’t go in, it’s difficult. We wanted to win but congratulations to Dortmund.”

“We really thought we had the right to go to the final, we were better as a team. We are also disappointed for our fans, it would have been a magnificent final in London.”

“But I am proud of my team, the youngest in Europe. This is the third time we have reached the semi-finals in five years, of course it’s not the goal, but that’s football. Sometimes it’s not fair.”
