Jérôme Rothen criticized the communication of Paris Saint-Germain, deeming it clumsy despite the 1-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund in the first leg.

The various figures of PSG are showing particular confidence ahead of the Champions League semi-final second leg scheduled for Tuesday at 9 p.m. Is Luis Enrique’s “We will win” too ambitious? Is PSG president’s “confident but not too much” statement overly ambitious? On RMC, Jérôme Rothen expresses discomfort.

“It remains a football match, you are not sure to win it, so I don’t like speeches like that. If they are convinced, and if they want to convince themselves with this kind of speech that they will qualify, there is no problem, they have the right to do so.”

“For me, it’s not the method I would have used. It’s because I am superstitious. It is better to say nothing, already to avoid exciting the opponent, and to conserve your energy instead of communicating in this way. But I won’t blame them for thinking they will qualify,” reacted the former PSG player on RMC.
