Presnel Kimpembe is once again available on the transfer market. Qatar SC officially announced on Tuesday that the French centre-back has left the club, just one year after moving to the Qatari league.
The former Paris Saint-Germain defender joined Qatar SC following the end of his long spell in the French capital. However, his time in Qatar ultimately proved to be short-lived.
Kimpembe Looking for a New Challenge
Now 30, Kimpembe made only eleven appearances for Qatar SC last season. The club did not reveal the exact reasons behind his departure.
The 2018 World Cup winner is now free to join the club of his choice. His status as a free agent could attract teams looking for an experienced defender, although his physical condition is likely to be closely assessed.
A product of PSG’s academy, Kimpembe spent most of his professional career in Paris before leaving his boyhood club. He must now find a new project to revive a career that has been heavily disrupted by injuries in recent years.
