Paris Saint-Germain are set to lose one of their young prospects. According to Le Parisien and journalist Fabrizio Romano, Hermann Malonga will leave the capital club to join Manchester City during this summer transfer window.
Only 18 years old, the centre-back has chosen to continue his development in England despite PSG’s attempts to keep him. The Parisian club had been offering him a contract extension for several months to include him in their long-term project, but the player ultimately opted for the Skyblues’ offer.
Manchester City Land a PSG Talent
According to Le Parisien, a full agreement has been reached between all parties. Hermann Malonga is expected to sign a five-year contract with Manchester City, where he is regarded as a defender with huge potential.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed the move on Tuesday. The transfer specialist reports that Manchester City have completed the signing of the young defender and that all contractual terms have been approved by the player.
Born in 2008, Malonga is considered one of the most promising profiles from PSG’s academy. For PSG, his departure is another blow in the management of its young talents, while Manchester City continue to strengthen their pool of prospects by attracting one of the most promising defenders of his generation.
