PSG: Kolo Muani and Renato Sanches Training with the Youth Team, What Next?

Paris Saint-Germain have already resumed training with part of their squad. While the senior team is not scheduled to return until July 25, Randal Kolo Muani and Renato Sanches are currently working at the club’s training center in Poissy alongside the PSG youth team.

Although PSG have not officially created a separate “loft” group for unwanted players, the situation of the two first-team members appears similar. Kolo Muani’s case is particularly symbolic. Four years ago, the French striker came close to becoming the hero of the 2022 FIFA World Cup final. Today, while several of his France teammates prepare for the third-place match against England, the former Nantes forward is waiting for his future to be resolved.

Kolo Muani and Renato Sanches Await Their Next Move

Kolo Muani, who remains under contract with PSG until June 2028, is still Juventus’ top attacking target. Talks between the two clubs are ongoing, but no final agreement has been reached. Until his transfer situation is settled, the 27-year-old has resumed training with the club’s academy players. Renato Sanches finds himself in a similar position. After returning from a loan spell at Panathinaikos, the 28-year-old Portuguese midfielder, whose contract runs until 2027, no longer appears to be part of Luis Enrique’s plans, and PSG are also hoping to secure a move for him this summer.

The focus now turns to the return of the senior squad on July 25. If neither player has completed a transfer by then, Kolo Muani and Renato Sanches could theoretically rejoin the first team on a temporary basis. However, PSG could also decide to keep them training separately or with the youth squad in order to facilitate their departures. Their involvement with Luis Enrique’s group will largely depend on how the transfer market develops over the coming days.
