According to L’Équipe, the PSG manager called Ferran Torres during his vacation to present the club’s project and explain the role he envisions for him in Paris. The conversation is said to have made a strong impression on the 26-year-old, who recently became a national hero after scoring the winning goal for Spain in the World Cup final against Argentina.

Luis Enrique knows Ferran Torres well from their time together with the Spanish national team. He values the attacker’s versatility, movement, and ability to play as a central striker or on either wing. The PSG coach reportedly outlined how Torres would fit into his attacking rotation, a vision that appealed to the former Valencia and Manchester City player. Despite their interest, PSG are unwilling to rush the negotiations, especially after Torres’ World Cup-winning goal significantly increased his popularity across Europe.

Those factors could encourage Barça to consider a sale instead. Although Hansi Flick would reportedly be open to evaluating a strong offer, Barcelona are expected to demand around €50 million.
