Mika Godts’ potential transfer to Paris Saint-Germain has taken a significant step forward. While negotiations between the two clubs continue, Ajax are reportedly already preparing for life after the Belgian winger and planning to use the expected transfer fee to rebuild their squad.
Godts now appears increasingly likely to join PSG. Paris’ substantial offer could allow the Dutch club to bring Edson Álvarez back immediately, while Noa Lang is also being seriously considered as a direct replacement for the 21-year-old in attack.
Godts Has Already Chosen PSG
According to De Telegraaf, PSG stepped up their pursuit of Godts at the end of July. Luis Campos spoke directly with the player to present the Parisian project and explain the role Luis Enrique has planned for him. Those discussions quickly convinced the Belgium Under-21 international, who has made PSG his preferred destination.

His agent, Niels De Jonck, later confirmed that an agreement in principle had been reached. Godts has accepted PSG’s salary proposal and could sign a contract running until 2031 or 2032 once the two clubs reach a deal. Ajax initially valued him at around €60 million, while Paris reportedly opened with an offer close to €40 million. Talks are now moving toward a compromise worth approximately €45 million.
Ajax are already preparing to reinvest the money in two defenders, a midfielder and two attackers, with Álvarez and Lang among their priorities. PSG, meanwhile, want to give Luis Enrique another attacking option alongside Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé and the expected arrival of Maghnes Akliouche. With the player’s approval secured and Ajax planning his succession, the remaining task is to finalize the fee and payment structure.
