Already home to PSG’s training facility, Poissy is leveraging its strategic location and economic appeal to win over the club’s leadership, who remain locked in a standoff with the Paris City Council over the Parc des Princes.

A Win-Win Project, Says Local Government

The proposal is spearheaded by Pierre Bédier, president of the Yvelines departmental council, alongside former mayor and current MP Karl Olive. The duo is pushing for a “mutually beneficial project” where Stellantis could restructure its operations and monetize unused land, while PSG would gain a spacious, modern stadium site.

“It’s good for everyone—PSG, Stellantis, 2,000 employees, and the local community,” Bédier told Le Parisien.

Access, Infrastructure, and Economic Boost

Located just 30 km from Paris, Poissy highlights enhanced accessibility via the RER A, the upcoming Tram 13, and the extension of the RER E. The city claims travel times will rival those to the Parc des Princes.

In addition to fan convenience, officials are touting significant economic benefits, including increased tourism, job creation, and commercial growth.

But Poissy isn’t the only suitor—Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, Aulnay-sous-Bois, Ris-Orangis, and Massy are also in the running. The final sprint for PSG’s future home is on.
