Paris Saint-Germain cruised past Inter Miami this Sunday in the Round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup. The match was over by halftime: João Neves opened the scoring in the 6th minute and doubled the lead in the 39th.
Avilés scored an own goal (44′), and Hakimi added the fourth just before the break (45+3). A flawless first half from PSG, who completely overwhelmed a disoriented Miami side.
In the second half, Luis Enrique rotated his squad, giving minutes to Dembélé, Zaïre-Emery, and Kang-in Lee. Messi had a few flashes, but Donnarumma stood firm. The result was never in doubt.
Next up for PSG: a quarter-final clash with the winner of Bayern Munich vs Flamengo. As for Inter Miami, despite their stars, they exit the tournament without making a mark.
