Luis Enrique loves the young players at PSG

The “Titis” from PSG made an impression on Saturday night against Le Havre. Luis Enrique intends to increasingly utilize his young players. But not just any way.

In a press conference, Luis Enrique reaffirmed his commitment to providing real and valuable playing time to the young players in the PSG squad: “What is important for these players is that they have significant minutes on the pitch that matter. If they come on when you’re winning 4-0, it doesn’t bring anything.”

The coach emphasized his philosophy: no favoritism, but opportunities for those who deserve it. “I am very motivated to give minutes to the Titis who have the level. I don’t make gifts. Ndjantou has earned the right to play, Mbaye is going through a tough time, he lacks a bit of confidence, but I remain calm and confident.”

For Enrique, betting on the Parisian talent pool is strategic, economical, and part of the club’s identity: “The players we consider to have the level will gain confidence, and that’s why we don’t sign outside players.”

“It’s easier for a titi, a French player, to play at PSG than to spend a lot of money on a player from another club.” An announcement that will delight the young players of the club… and their supporters.
