Monaco vs PSG: Predicted lineups

Ahead of Saturday’s trip to Monaco (5 pm), PSG thought they were heading into their Matchday 14 clash in calm conditions. But Friday’s medical update changed everything: Paris now has two new injuries, adding to an already packed treatment room.

The first blow concerns Nuno Mendes. Initially subbed off against Tottenham with what looked like a minor issue, the Portuguese full-back is now confirmed to have a right-thigh injury. He will spend the next few days in treatment, ruling him out and raising fears of yet another extended absence.

Renato Marin joins him on the sidelines. Also suffering from a right-thigh problem—this time muscular fatigue—the young midfielder will begin a rehabilitation phase, a major setback in an area where Luis Enrique already lacked depth.

And that’s not all: Achraf Hakimi and Désiré Doué remain in individual rehab. Neither is expected back soon. With four confirmed absences, PSG heads to Monaco far from full strength.

Could PSG line up almost identically to the Tottenham match?

On the other side, Monaco comes into this match in crisis. Three straight league defeats, a decimated defence, and a collapsing confidence level. Pocognoli will be without Dier, Mawissa and Zakaria, while Paul Pogba is unlikely to start. Folarin Balogun remains their only reliable attacking option.

PSG, meanwhile, arrives in top form: a perfect month, a spectacular 5–3 win over Tottenham, Vitinha on fire, and Barcola scoring consistently. Dembélé is back, and Luis Enrique is expected to field something close to his strongest XI—despite the injuries. Lucas Hernandez, sent off against Spurs, is eligible, though Enrique could still choose to discipline him.

Nuno Mendes was removed at half-time as a precaution, giving Monaco faint hope he might recover—but his absence is now official.

A dangerous match for Monaco. A test of control for PSG. And above all, a high-stress showdown at Louis-II.
