A rumor has set X ablaze in recent hours: Luis Enrique is said to have refused to extend his contract with PSG, according to a supposed article from Bild. The problem is simple: that article does not exist.
After checking, no German media outlet, and certainly not Bild, has published any information to that effect. The rumor started from a few accounts on X, was picked up in a chain reaction, and then presented as “news” even though it is based on nothing.
A Baseless Rumor About Luis Enrique’s Future
PSG reacted quickly through Luis Campos. The club’s sporting advisor was clear and straightforward about this alleged information: “100% fake news,” he told Oliver Tallaron of Canal+. No ambiguity, no gray area, no possible interpretation.
So at this stage, there is no refusal from Luis Enrique to extend his contract, and not even any Bild article claiming it. This is a classic case of disinformation: a rumor launched, amplified by influential accounts, then repeated as if it were confirmed.
PSG, for its part, hopes to extend Luis Enrique for a long period. The Spanish coach is currently under contract with the club until 2027.
