PSG Coach Kept Despite Disappointing Season

Despite a 2025-26 season that fell well short of expectations, PSG Women have opted for continuity. According to Le Parisien, Paulo César will remain in charge of the Parisian side next season.

PSG Women have made a strong statement by confirming Paulo César despite a disappointing campaign. The team endured a difficult year, exiting the UEFA Women’s Champions League during the league phase, losing both the Coupe de France and the LFFP Cup finals to Lyon, and being eliminated by Paris FC in the Arkema Première Ligue playoff semi-finals.

PSG Bets on Stability

Appointed to replace Fabrice Abriel after previously coaching the club’s U19 team, Paulo César still retains the confidence of the club’s leadership. PSG believes this transitional season should serve as the foundation for rebuilding a stronger and more competitive project.

According to Le Parisien, the club’s executives are determined to avoid starting over once again and intend to build on the work completed over the past several months in order to bounce back.

The challenge now will be to keep the squad’s key players while strengthening several areas of the team to return to the top level. Paulo César has already set the objective: the word “rebuilding” should no longer be used next season. After a trophyless year of learning and adjustment, PSG Women want to return with much higher ambitions in 2026-27.
