Paris Saint-Germain are continuing to explore the transfer market as they look to strengthen their attacking options. Following several departures in the forward line, the French champions want to sign a new player capable of leading the attack as a number nine.
PSG want a new centre-forward. With Gonçalo Ramos gone, the position is currently vacant, even though Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola can both fill in there when required. Luis Enrique is determined to recruit a genuine striker.
Ferran Torres and De Ketelaere on PSG’s Shortlist
According to Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, Luis Campos and the PSG hierarchy are currently monitoring several profiles. Ferran Torres and Charles De Ketelaere are among the options being considered, while a third target has yet to be revealed. Torres is valued for his versatility, as the Spain international can operate through the middle or from a wide position, a profile that fits Luis Enrique’s tactical demands.
Charles De Ketelaere represents another possible solution. The Atalanta forward can also play in several attacking roles and would offer PSG a different option in their build-up play. Paris want to keep several alternatives open and will not rush into signing a player who fails to meet all of their sporting and financial criteria.
No talks have reportedly taken place over Éli Junior Kroupi. The young French striker is admired by some PSG decision-makers, but Bournemouth are determined to keep him this summer. Paris are therefore monitoring his situation without having launched a formal move, with their immediate focus appearing to be on Ferran Torres, Charles De Ketelaere and the mysterious third target.
