Paris Saint-Germain still want to sign another centre-back before the end of the transfer window, with several profiles being assessed at the same time.
Guéla Doué and Joel Ordóñez are both being monitored as PSG look to strengthen their defence. These are not new targets, but interest in the two players appears to be growing. According to PSGInside-Actus, Strasbourg defender Doué is open to a move to the French capital.
PSG weigh up Doué and Ordóñez
Doué must still decide what he wants for the next stage of his career. He is also attracted by the prospect of playing in the Premier League, although the opportunity to join PSG and reunite with his brother Désiré Doué could influence his decision. Paris would also need to reach an agreement with Strasbourg, who are unlikely to sell cheaply and are known for being demanding in negotiations.
PSG are not focusing solely on Doué. Joel Ordóñez remains firmly on the club’s shortlist after being monitored for more than six months. His recent injury could affect the situation, with Paris keeping a close eye on his recovery and potentially hoping Club Bruges will lower their asking price.
Bruges’ valuation has so far been considered too high by PSG, meaning the deal remains open as the French champions wait for the right opportunity. However, growing interest from several Premier League clubs could force Paris to move quickly if they decide to make the Ecuadorian defender a priority.
