Paris Saint-Germain are already preparing for the future in goal. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Parisian club are considering keeping Lucas Chevalier this season before organizing his departure in the summer of 2027, with Zion Suzuki expected to succeed him.
PSG reportedly want to give Lucas Chevalier one final chance during the 2026-2027 season. Under this scenario, there would therefore be no immediate place for Suzuki in the Paris hierarchy, despite his planned arrival.
Suzuki Could Spend One Season on Loan Before Joining PSG
The preferred solution would be to loan Zion Suzuki to Juventus for one season. This arrangement would allow the Japanese goalkeeper to continue playing at the highest level while giving PSG time to manage Chevalier’s future departure under better conditions. The deal would also suit Juventus, who are continuing to monitor Alisson’s situation, with the possibility of signing him on a free transfer in a year considered a serious option.

PSG therefore appear keen to avoid rushing the management of their goalkeeping situation. Chevalier would have one final season to prove himself, while Suzuki would be prepared to take over from 2027. A transition planned well in advance could allow the Parisian club to finally establish a clear long-term hierarchy between the posts.
