Bayern Munich vs PSG : Official Lineups Revealed

FC Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain meet again this Wednesday night at the Allianz Arena for a Champions League semi-final second leg that promises fireworks. After the thrilling 5-4 first-leg clash at the Parc des Princes, Paris travel to Germany holding a slim but valuable advantage ahead of kick-off at 9pm.

The lineups are in. Injured for this encounter, Achraf Hakimi will be replaced by Warren Zaïre-Emery at right-back for PSG. This tactical switch allows Fabián Ruiz to return to midfield, a role he occupied regularly last season. Up front, Luis Enrique has chosen to start Désiré Doué, while Bradley Barcola begins the match on the bench.

On the Bayern side, Vincent Kompany makes just one change from the first leg in Paris. Konrad Laimer comes into the left side of defense in place of Alphonso Davies. The rest of the starting XI remains unchanged around Harry Kane, supported in attack by Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala and Luis Díaz.

PSG lineup: Safonov – Zaïre-Emery, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes – Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz – Doué, Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia.

Bayern lineup: Neuer – Stanisic, Upamecano, Tah, Laimer – Kimmich, Pavlovic – Olise, Musiala, Luis Díaz – Kane.

A new referee for PSG

UEFA has appointed Portuguese referee João Pinheiro to officiate the match. The 38-year-old has never refereed PSG before but already has two positive precedents with Bayern Munich, both ending in Bavarian victories. Known for handing out yellow cards quickly, he is nevertheless considered fairly measured when it comes to major decisions, awarding few penalties and rarely showing red cards.

In what is expected to be a fiery Allianz Arena atmosphere, PSG will need composure and character to protect their advantage and secure a place in the Champions League final.
