Danilo Pereira, the player of Paris Saint-Germain and the Portuguese national team, gave an interview to O Jogo at the beginning of this international break.
He discusses his role at PSG, which is quite different from that in the national team: midfielder with Portugal and defender with PSG… no problem.
The Euro, will it be in defense or midfield? “It’s what the coach needs. Our coach offers me a lot in terms of tactics. I am ready for both positions. It’s not something that bothers me, I am well prepared. At this point, I no longer feel that there is a position in which I feel more comfortable. I improve with experience and playing time. Right now, I feel very comfortable as a center-back and if I have to play midfield, I am also well prepared.”
“There are always more titles to win. I miss the Champions League, I miss a World Cup with Portugal… I would really like to experience a moment of conquest with Portugal again during this European Championship.”
