There is no longer any doubt. Maghnes Akliouche has confirmed his intention to leave AS Monaco this summer, immediately reigniting interest from several of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Akliouche is indeed set to depart Monaco. Before flying out with the French national team for the 2026 World Cup, the attacking midfielder admitted that a transfer is currently being discussed behind the scenes.
PSG and Liverpool Tracking Akliouche
“Will the next step be a transfer this summer? Yes, but honestly, I’m fully focused on the World Cup. Anything can happen, even during the competition. It’s a huge showcase, but my focus remains on the goals of the national team,” explained the 24-year-old player.
According to Le Journal du Dimanche, Monaco has now granted its star prospect a genuine exit opportunity. After rejecting PSG’s advances last summer and extending his contract until 2028, Akliouche is officially available on the market. Paris Saint-Germain remains one of the clubs most interested, with Luis Enrique reportedly appreciating his versatility, creativity, and ability to play in multiple attacking positions.
However, PSG is not alone in the race. Liverpool are also monitoring the situation closely and could soon make their move. Monaco, meanwhile, hopes to secure a substantial fee for its prized asset, who has been valued between €70 million and €80 million in recent months. One thing is certain: the Akliouche transfer saga has begun, and barring a major surprise, his future will be away from the Principality next season.
