It is now official: Gonçalo Ramos is leaving Paris Saint-Germain. After three seasons in the capital, the Portuguese striker has joined AC Milan on a permanent transfer. An important page is turning for PSG, who are losing a player often decisive in big moments.
Arriving in Paris in the summer of 2023 from Benfica, Gonçalo Ramos experienced a rich spell in the red and blue shirt. In 131 matches for PSG, the Portuguese international scored 45 goals, delivered 10 assists and won 12 trophies. Among them were two consecutive Champions League titles, a historic achievement that gives his time at the club a special dimension.
A Huge Transfer to AC Milan
The fee has not been made official by the clubs, but it is said to be massive. According to unofficial details circulating around the deal, AC Milan reportedly agreed to pay €75 million, with a further €5 million potentially added in bonuses. In total, the transfer could therefore reach €80 million.
It is a huge investment for the Lombardy club. This deal would comfortably exceed the €50 million Milan spent on Rafael Leão and would represent one of the biggest transfers completed by a Serie A club since Romelu Lukaku joined Inter in 2019.
In Paris, Ramos will leave behind the image of an efficient, discreet but often valuable striker. Scorer of a memorable brace against OM in his first season, on target against Manchester City during PSG’s historic European campaign, he also stood out with several decisive late goals, notably in the UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham and against Barcelona in the Champions League. PSG praised the professionalism and commitment of their now former number 9, wishing him the best for the rest of his career. At 25, Gonçalo Ramos opens a new chapter at AC Milan, where he arrives with strong status and major pressure on his shoulders.
