Manu Koné wants PSG, and his entourage is now trying to shift the situation. As AS Roma must sell before the end of June to balance their books, the French international midfielder is among the players who could leave the Italian capital this summer.
After a convincing season with Roma, Manu Koné is already attracting interest from several major European clubs. Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close eye on the former Toulouse player, who is seen as one of the most interesting profiles on the market in his position.
Koné Dreams of PSG, but Paris Has Another Priority
But according to Il Messaggero, the 25-year-old has a very clear preference for his future: joining Paris Saint-Germain. It is a dream Manu Koné has reportedly had for several years, and one that would represent a major step in his career.
According to PSGInside-Actu, his agent is even doing everything possible to convince PSG to make a move. The midfielder, for his part, is said to be highly motivated by the idea of joining the French champions. In short, the Koné camp is pushing to open a real door toward Paris.
PSG do appreciate Manu Koné’s profile, but the deal is not a priority at this stage. The Parisian club are exploring several midfield options, with one name seemingly ahead of all the others: Ayyoub Bouaddi, the young LOSC talent. If Paris manage to make concrete progress on Bouaddi, the path leading to Manu Koné is expected to be abandoned. Despite his desire to join PSG and the efforts of his entourage, the former Toulouse man could therefore see his Paris dream remain on hold. Unless the situation changes, the Premier League now appears to be a more credible option for the next stage of his career.
