The Julián Alvarez saga continues to heat up Paris Saint-Germain’s transfer window plans. According to several Spanish sources, Luis Enrique is a huge admirer of the Argentine World Cup winner and has even reportedly spoken directly with the player in recent weeks.
PSG are seriously considering a massive attacking move this summer to strengthen their frontline. To make room in the squad, departures such as Gonçalo Ramos or Kang-in Lee are still being considered internally.
Atlético Demand a Record Fee for Alvarez
But the biggest obstacle remains enormous: Atlético Madrid have absolutely no intention of selling their attacking star cheaply. Under contract until 2030, Alvarez is now reportedly valued at more than €150 million by the Colchoneros.
In Spain, however, reports differ regarding Luis Enrique’s final stance on the deal. According to PSGInside-Actus, the Paris coach strongly approves the Alvarez move. But Catalan outlet Sport claims the Argentine striker is not among the Spanish manager’s attacking priorities for the next transfer window.
One thing appears certain: if Paris want to prise Alvarez away from Atlético, they will need to complete one of the biggest transfers of the summer of 2026. Arsenal and FC Barcelona are also monitoring the situation very closely.
