Florian Wirtz emerges as Real Madrid’s prime target for 2025, leaving PSG, one of the contenders, out of the race.

Florian Wirtz, the rising star of the next Galactico generation, seems to have found his destination. According to Marca, Real Madrid has identified its main recruit for 2025: Florian Wirtz, the 21-year-old midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen. The Spanish club is thus preparing for the succession of Toni Kroos, who is retiring this summer, and Luka Modric, who is expected to leave in 2025 after a final one-year extension.

Negotiations reportedly concluded in utmost secrecy, with an agreement reached with Florian Wirtz for a signature in 2025.

In the meantime, Florian Wirtz will remain at Leverkusen for the 2024/2025 season, turning down all other solicitations, including PSG. Subsequently, a transfer agreement will need to be reached with the German club, as the player is valued at €130 million.
