Substituted in the 25th minute against Bayern, Ousmane Dembélé is concerning once again. However, Luis Enrique assured that this injury is not related to his recent hamstring issue, instead mentioning a problem with his calf.
Questioned after PSG’s defeat to Bayern (1-2), Luis Enrique sought to clarify Ousmane Dembélé’s medical situation, who was forced to leave the pitch in the 25th minute. The Spanish coach explained that the Ballon d’Or winner’s injury “has nothing to do” with the hamstring injury he sustained in early September while with the French national team.
The Parisian staff remains cautious and is awaiting the scheduled examinations the following day to determine the exact nature of the injury, which this time would involve the calf.
Dembélé was just returning
This new setback comes as Dembélé had just started to regain his rhythm after a month and a half of absence. Returning at the end of October and having only been a starter once since, the Parisian winger hoped to build on his form.
His premature exit raises further questions about his physical condition and complicates the management of a squad already heavily affected by injuries since the start of the season.
