After winning back-to-back Champions League titles with PSG, Vitinha has no intention of slowing down. The Portuguese midfielder, named Man of the Match in the Champions League final against Arsenal, is already dreaming of an even greater achievement: a third consecutive European crown.
Rumors surrounding PSG players have intensified this week. Real Madrid are reportedly eager to make a major statement by luring a star away from Paris. João Neves recently posted a message on Instagram wrapped in PSG colors, seemingly ruling out his departure. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia remains highly admired by Florentino Pérez, who is seeking re-election and has promised a spectacular €150 million signing. Could it be the Georgian winger? Or perhaps Vitinha?
Vitinha Focused on PSG Glory
Before joining the Portuguese national team for the 2026 World Cup, the PSG number 17 spoke to Portuguese outlet O Jogo. His objective was crystal clear: stay in Paris and help the club secure a third straight Champions League title. A statement that deals a blow to Real Madrid’s ambitions.
“Yes, absolutely,” Vitinha replied when asked whether he already dreams of winning a third consecutive Champions League. “We have the responsibility to defend our second title, just as we did this year.” He also acknowledged the historic significance of PSG’s achievement. “I’m part of PSG’s history and I’m very happy about that. PSG is a huge club, and having such an important place in its history is a great source of pride.”
Vitinha also credited Luis Enrique for his remarkable development. Repositioned in front of the defense by the Spanish coach, he has become one of the best midfielders in world football. “Luis Enrique has challenged me many times and continues to do so every day,” he explained. “He always tries to push you out of your comfort zone.”
As for the Ballon d’Or, Vitinha insists it is not his priority. “The team always comes before the individual. When the team wins, personal awards follow naturally.” A message PSG supporters will certainly appreciate, and one that makes it clear his story in Paris is far from over.
