Antoine Kombouaré’s time at Paris FC appears to be coming to an end. Despite successfully steering the club away from relegation, the French side has already begun searching for his replacement, with one candidate currently leading the race.
According to Le Parisien, the former Paris Saint-Germain manager is expected to leave Paris FC after only a few months in charge. Appointed in late February to replace Stéphane Gilli, Kombouaré transformed the team’s fortunes, guiding the newly promoted club to safety with an impressive record of six wins, three draws and just two defeats, securing an 11th-place finish.
Paris FC Already Planning for a New Coach
Despite those positive results, Kombouaré’s future now looks uncertain. Although he remains under contract until June 2027, reports suggest he is unlikely to remain in charge next season. Club officials have reportedly already begun preparing for his departure.
Liam Rosenior has emerged as the leading contender to take over. Available after leaving Chelsea, the English coach is already familiar with Ligue 1 following his spell at Strasbourg. Other names have also been considered, including Walid Regragui, although that option has reportedly cooled. Former Marseille coach Habib Beye remains in contention as well, enjoying internal support despite not being a unanimous choice. A final decision is expected soon as Paris FC looks to move forward with its summer transfer plans.
