Ousmane Dembélé did not only make headlines with his hat-trick against Norway (4-1). After the match, the France forward revealed that his celebration was a nod to his PSG teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Dembélé paid a powerful tribute to Kvaratskhelia after his hat-trick. Even after scoring three goals in a World Cup match, Dembouz was still thinking about the team.
Dembélé Honors His PSG Teammate
The 2025 Ballon d’Or winner explained that he had deliberately copied the Georgian international’s celebration to pay tribute to his PSG partner. It was a strong gesture, followed by a statement full of admiration for his Paris teammate.
“I dedicated my goals to Kvicha with this celebration. He deserves it. He is probably the best left winger in Europe right now and has one of the best finishing qualities I have ever seen. I would have loved him to be here with his national team to play in the World Cup, because that is every player’s dream,” Dembélé said.
It was a beautiful show of respect between the two PSG stars, who continue to impress together at club level. While Dembélé shines with the France team, he has not forgotten his attacking partner, who is absent from this World Cup with Georgia. Kvara also replied to him on social media.
