Paris Saint-Germain are not expected to strengthen their midfield during the summer transfer window. According to PSG insider Djamel, the club’s internal stance is very clear: the Parisian hierarchy believes the squad already has enough depth and quality in that area.

Although the transfer market has yet to fully come alive due to the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup, PSG have already made their decision. The club remain open to reinforcing other areas of the squad, but midfield is not currently considered a priority.

PSG Confident in Their Midfield Options

Unless there is a late change of plans, no new midfielder is expected to arrive at the Parc des Princes. A signing would only be considered if a current midfielder leaves before the transfer window closes. Luis Enrique already has several versatile and complementary players at his disposal, giving the coaching staff confidence in the existing group.

The contract extensions of Senny Mayulu and Fabian Ruiz further reflect PSG’s desire to maintain continuity rather than add more competition in an already well-stocked department. As a result, the club’s recruitment efforts are now expected to focus on other positions, although the situation could change if a midfielder departs later in the window.
