Lionel Messi (36 years old) has no plans to return to FC Barcelona in the coming weeks.
Lionel Messi is enjoying a three-month vacation. Barcelona attempted to propose a loan deal for the Argentine forward this winter, during the North American Championship break, but Messi has no intention of playing during this period.
“I will enjoy my holidays in Argentina,” stated the World Cup champion, as reported by L’Equipe.
“This will be the first time I have so many days off in December, with vacations and peace of mind. In January, I will return to Miami for preseason, start from scratch, and prepare as best as I can, as always.”
