Lionel Messi delivers another blow to PSG: he gifts his Ballon d’Or won while at Paris… to the FC Barcelona museum.

It’s Messi’s eighth Ballon d’Or in 2023. However, it won’t be found in PSG’s museum. Instead, the Pulga has decided to donate it to FC Barcelona to be displayed alongside the seven other trophies in the club’s museum.

Interestingly, Lionel Messi would have logically offered it to PSG, as he hasn’t played for Barcelona since 2021, and this Ballon d’Or was awarded for the 2022-2023 season.

For the previous Ballon d’Or in 2021, Lionel Messi had split the season between Catalonia and PSG.

This move is undoubtedly another jab at PSG. During the Ballon d’Or ceremony, Messi had already not thanked PSG. “I’m not sure the Parisians want me to present the Ballon d’Or in Paris,” he smiled during the press conference.
