Just days after Kylian Mbappé’s departure announcement, Neymar takes a stand:  PSG got it all wrong.

Lionel Messi, Marco Verratti: gone. Neymar himself has also felt the impact of this “new” PSG desired by Kylian Mbappé. Several months into this new project, Mbappé chooses to leave for Real Madrid.

A choice that may surprise, but doesn’t seem to surprise Neymar. The Brazilian, currently in Saudi Arabia, liked a post from the Jogada Ensaiada account that begins with “No player should be superior to an institution.”

The account continues: “PSG, an example of football management. They managed to assemble the best players and had the best team on the planet. When the team started performing well, the ego of a ‘certain Frenchman’ began to disrupt the atmosphere. Mbappé started to feel excluded, most of the team members spoke Spanish, and he threatened to leave the team. To avoid losing their precious (Mbappé), PSG started selling those who were not aligned with Mbappé’s thoughts and brought in the French players he wanted. After doing everything to make everything go as he wanted, Mbappé communicated to PSG that he would leave the club FOR FREE at the end of the season. And in the end, this is what remains for PSG…”.

This perspective is shared by Neymar, who hasn’t held back in his criticism of PSG since his departure.
